Yard House (Interior)
In April 2012,
Atlantic
Station had its grand opening for a new restaurant called
Yard House. The popular bar and grill was first started by Stelle Platt
in 1996. Platt wanted to establish a restaurant that offered
a wide selection of draft beers, American cuisine, and classic rock
music. Yard House is located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida,
Hawaii, Illinois, Kanasa, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, Virgina,
Texas, and now Georgia. The new location includes an island bar, over
130 menu items, abstract artwork, and much more!

Blue
Crab Cakes
I ventured to Yard House during their happy hour, so I was
able to enjoy
half priced
appetizers, pizza, and sliders. Their appetizers include:
spinach cheese dip, fried calamari, blue crab cakes, onion ring tower,
seared ahi sashimi, wings, moo shu egg rolls, fried chicken strips,
California rolls, chicken lettuce wraps, spicy tuna roll, chicken
nachos, shiitake garlic noodles, and Hawaiian poke stack. Then the
pizza list includes: BBQ chicken, four cheese, margherita, pepperoni
& mushroom, ham & pineapple, and spicy thai chicken. As
you can see, the happy hour menu is filled with great choices. The
first appetizer I ordered was the blue crab cakes. These cakes are
placed on a puddle of mango papaya chutney, passion fruit beurre blanc,
and tomato oil. It’s the perfect appetizer to start off your
Yard House meal. The flavors are out of this world.

Seared
Ahi Sashimi
The second appetizer I ordered was the seared ahi sashimi.
Plated freshly is lightly blackened ahi sashimi with soy vinaigrette,
wasabi, and pickled ginger. The seared ahi sashimi is actually a sushi
selection with a visual twist. The customer can build their own sushi
with the elements presented on the plate, and enjoy their favorite
sushi at the same time. I love that Yard House creates abstract art out
of the freshest ingredients; it makes the experience
worthwhile.

Spicy
Jambalaya
I think the best part about Yard House is that their menu
caters to everyone. This beautiful spread is spicy jambalaya over
linguini pasta. It’s blackened jumbo shrimp, sweet crawfish,
spicy chicken-andouille sausage, blackened red & pasilla
peppers, and a Cajun tomato cream sauce. It’s filled with
seafood, color, spice, and adventure. My favorite part about this dish
is that you have the option of having the jambalaya over pasta or rice.
It gives the dish variety, and it satisfies the rice lovers as well. I
have to admit, Yard House showed out on spicy jambalaya.

If you’re looking for a great happy hour menu,
large draft beer selections, or late night specials, then Yard House
needs to be your next stop. The popular restaurant is located in one of
Atlanta’s hotspots, and it’s known for serving some
of the best American cuisine.
