From the sassy to the simple, Atlanta has many attractions
to take a date. No matter what your tastes are, there's always a place
you can go to in the city to have a romantic encounter. Here's a list
of some of the top Atlanta attractions for couples.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden Path View.
The beauty and style of the
Atlanta
Botanical Garden is always good to show a date your taste.
Flowers and trees from all over the world can be seen their indoor and
outdoor gardens. This location is best between spring and fall for
outdoor viewing, though I've found that coming here in winter can net
you quite a bit of privacy to sit in one of their shaded benches and
steal a few kisses.
This theater is, in my opinion, the most romantic place in
the city. Filled with Arabesque architecture and tons of history,
you'll feel transported back in time to the 1920s when the theater was
originally built. Concerts, musicals, plays, and other shows are
constantly playing here. Movies are especially fun if you show up way
in advance and catch the pre-movie show and sing along with the crowd.
It makes a great memory, and it's one of my favorite attractions in
Atlanta.
View of the Downtown atlanta from Sundial.
If you don't mind heights and love a great view, then The
Sun Dial at the top of The Westin Peachtree Plaza is the place to be.
It's a combination bar, restaurant, and viewing deck. First, take a
trip up to the very top and show off your knowledge of Atlanta
landmarks in the 360 degree view. Then, head down to the bar for drinks
and live jazz, or head down to the restaurant for a slow meal as you
watch the city pass by. There is a dress code for the bar and
restaurant, so it'll also let you show off your threads.
4.Midtown Nightclubs:
Local Luna live entertainment
If your date is more in the mood to imbibe street culture
rather than high culture, then you may want to stop by in
Midtown.
There's dozens of night clubs in the area, and one is sure to attract
your attention. The most prestigious one, in my opinion, is Opera.
Built in an old opera house, this three-level night club is sure to
impress, though it's easy to get lost in the crowd. Show off your moves
and your beautiful date!
Sometimes a girl just wants to shop, and Underground Atlanta
is cool place to scratch that itch. It's full of quirky shops and fun
eateries, many catering to the African-American and immigrant
communities. It's a great place to find Jamaican and Soul food. Also,
if your date loves reggae then you'll want to visit Footprints
Restaurant & Lounge. If you love shopping but don't want the
standard mall experience, then this is an Atlanta attraction to check
out.
Whatever your tastes, there's something on this list of
Atlanta attractions for couples. There's also plenty of other tourist
attractions in Atlanta from the quirky to the historical. These are my
favorites, but take a look through our site and see if there's any
other restaurants or attractions that catch your eye.
