Social Vinings is two year old creation of the Chef Paul Company. If you’ve stopped by the Vining’s Fish Company, Paul’s on the Patio, or Dos Amigos Cantina, and enjoyed yourself then definitely stop by Social Vinings because they are all owned and managed by the same company.
At Social Vinings you can expect to find upscale bar food and sushi, so there’s a wide variety of menu options to choose from for you and any picky eaters in your party. If you enjoy sushi Social Vinings is certain to keep you satisfied. There sushi menu is full of great options. Take for example my personal favorite, Paul’s Roll. Paul’s Roll is trifecta of tuna, crab, and salmon with cream cheese, asparagus. It’s flash fried in panko breading so it’s crunchy on the outside and cool on the inside.

Then it comes to the table in the great sweet chili sauce. It’s even better when you order it as a combo where it will come with another spicy tuna roll, 2 pieces of nigiri, and another roll that’s the chef’s choice of the day. Another one of their original creations is the Kentucky Roll. It comes with, yep, you guessed it fried chicken! (Completely cooked through) This roll might be a healthier alternative to anything coming in a bucket. It comes with bleu cheese, carrots, and a great spicy mayo as a compliment.

If perhaps you find that you are in the mood for something a little larger than a sushi roll, Social Vinings also has many more Western options on the menu, but trust me whether you order a sandwich or a sushi roll, it’s going to come with a spin unlike anything you’ve seen at other restaurants. Take for example the slider. Sliders can be found on just about any restaurant menu nowadays. Usually they range from a Krystal to a mini cheeseburger.
At Social Vinings, you sliders come out as a trio with one crab cake, one buffalo chicken, one bacon cheeseburger. Occasionally, they run specials and you can find great lamb sliders here too. If you are in the mood for something from south of the border, I’d opt for the Crab and Brie Quesadilla. Unlike most quesadillas I’ve had, this one comes with a little fresh veg in the form of some arugula. It also has pico de gallo, and a special sour cream. The sour cream has chipotle spices folded in so it has a great smoky taste.

If you are watching your waist line, Social Vininings also offers soups and salad combinations. Barbara’s Greek Salad, which is cucmbers, cherry tomatoes, black olives, artichoke, feta crumbles, sweet onions, and basil with a toss in some white balsamic vinaigrette could be a meal all itself. Especially, when you take into consideration the proteins you can toss in. For a small up charge, Social Vinings has any number of add ins for a salad to include: grilled chicken, shrimp, or salmon, seared ahi tuna, fried oysters, pepper and jalapeno calamari, filet mignon, and even crab cakes.
Between your salads, sliders, and sushi, don’t forget to save room for dessert. If you like cookies as much as I do, you will want to go with the Fried Oreos! They are great with a hefty scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. The Bananas Foster, which has a hint of cinnamon, brown sugar, and rum, is also great. And again don’t forget that scoop of vanilla ice cream. Regardless of what you order if you are in the mood for some good food and conversation, Social Vinings is your spot.
