Provino’s Italian Restaurant has been serving its customers for over 30 years. In 1977, Provino’s opened its doors to the people of Atlanta, Georgia. Their delicious “Old World” style food gained them popularity and acceptance. Today, they have nine locations in Georgia including the one in Kennesaw and one in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The atmosphere is homely and comfortable for any customer. Chandeliers, black and white photos, classics wines, dimmed lighting, and Italian music are a few of the signature touches in the restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect for family, a romantic outing, or for a casual dining experience.

House Salad
I think salads are a traditional way to start off any meal. Provino’s serves a family salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, beets, onions, chickpeas, freshly shredded cheese, and their signature house dressing. It’s served in a wooden bowl that’s waiting to be tossed. The best part about this family salad, is that it’s endless. Eat your heart out is my philosophy! The veggies are fresh, and the dressing is heavenly.
Provinos Italian Restaurant Seafood TrioGarlic Rolls
Next, the popular garlic rolls are brought to the table. These bad boys are the icing on the cake. They are freshly made with minced garlic and butter. Each roll is fluffy, warm, and delicious. My table always requests more because they are addicting. I always take a bowl home, to finish off my leftovers from the night before. It’s easy to get full off of the family salad and garlic rolls, so don’t forget to leave room for the main course.
Seafood Trio
Provinos Italian Restaurant Garlic RollsThere are a variety of dishes on the menu, which include: lasagna, eggplant, ravioli, veal, chicken, seafood, etc. For the entrée, I ordered the Seafood Trio. It consists of juicy shrimp, scallops, and clams sautéed with herbs in a rosatella sauce. I chose rosatella over marinara sauce because I wanted to try something new. Then for the pasta, I picked angel hair to compliment the seafood. Provino’s lets the customers choose their sauce and pasta, which is a plus for Italian lovers. My creation was light, filling, and flavorful. The portion size was large enough to enjoy in the restaurant and to have some for leftovers. If you order pasta, then I recommend complimenting your dish with a classic house wine from the menu; wine and pasta are the perfect marriage. I think Riesling is a nice selection because it’s a fruity, but delicate wine choice.
Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Provino’s. Their menu, atmosphere, and staff made the dining experience memorable. I love that their establishment is dedicated to bringing classic Italian to your table. They offer special events, lunch specials, early dinner specials, birthday specials, and take home dinners. If you’re looking for inexpensive and excellent Italian food, then I recommend venturing to Provino’s Italian Restaurant. I can guarantee after the first trip, you will be back for a second.
