Whether you’ve always known it as “Shabu

“Fire” and “Boil.”
Mini Hot-Pot is an exciting addition to the already wide

Mini Hot
Pot Outside View : A New Adventure Awaits
If you are a resident living near the Chamblee Tucker and
Mercer exit, then you already know of the little shopping plaza that
represents the authentic cultures surrounding the
Malaysian islands.
From Penang that offers authentic Malaysian cooking, and Viet
Tofu, a little and unforgettable Vietnamese grocery store, Mini Hot-Pot
takes you to the very essence of traditional dining during Chinese
winters.
Mini Hot
Pot Outside Interior
When it is the season for cold weather, it is custom for
Chinese families to stay warm through this style of dining that boil
the ingredients you place in the heated pot, and through the inevitable
mixture of adding new vegetables and flavors, the meal warms up your
senses and provides you with a wholesome feast. Bringing
Atlanta residents two available locations to enjoy this delectable
Chinese tradition, the necessary process of experimentation guarantees
you a unique experience upon every visit.
Mini Hot
Pot Different Sauces
Whereas other establishments provide you with menus that
offer a range of skillfully, complimentary pre-selected ingredients,
Mini Hot Pot’s concept does exactly the opposite.
The menu offers a list of combinations and ingredients to
choose the amount of varying ingredients you want to utilize in
preparing your own meal however you please. The initial
combination is as diverse as a Seacucumber & Meat Combo to a
Snow Crab Leg Hot Pot Combo.
The
Possibilities are Endless
Similar to a sacred ritual, you start off with what type of
base you want your soup to exhibit. Perhaps today you feel
like incorporating a Miso Base since last week you prepared your
initial batch of boiling water with the slow soaking of flavorful Beef
bone. There is no right or wrong way to prepare your meal,
any method you choose will still result in delicious fun for you, your
friends, and family.
Hidden
Underneath the Plate is Your Own Personal Boiler
If you run out of a particular item that you enjoyed in your
personal stew, fear not. You don’t have to order a
whole another entrée. The menu also has an ala carte
menu that lists side orders included in the combinations and little
extra goodies for those days when you’re feeling extra
adventurous like enoki mushrooms, fish cakes, quail eggs, scallops, and
more.
Mini Hot
Pot's Quaint Layout
A personal recommendation is to go ahead and visit the
station in the back to gather the different condiments and sauces you
want to incorporate into your personal pot. Just like we
learned in Chemistry, it is much easier to create mixtures than to
separate them. When trying to figure out how a particular
sauce will interact with your already boiled ingredients,
it’s best to use a heavier texture such as chicken or meat to
test out your canvas of different flavor enhancers. The
thicker meats will safeguard against a scorched mouth in case your
mixture turns out much spicier than you expected it to be.
The Most
Colorful Menu of Them All
Work your way through the meal by starting with sweet,
savory sauces, and work your way up to the spicy condiments towards the
resolution of your meal. That way, you can optimize the
spectrum of flavors possible during your dinner as if you add Sriracha
hot sauce in the beginning of the meal; you will always have a slight
kick of spice to every single bite no matter what you put into your
boiling mixture. To conclude the meal, adding the rest of
your noodles is a fantastic way to absorb the remaining residue of
varying flavor profiles accumulated throughout your interactive meal.
And of course, saving the best for last is Mini
Hot-Pot’s Drink & Dessert Menu, which features Buford
Highway’s infamous addiction: Bubble Tea. You may
wonder what the slight difference between a bubble tea and a fresh
fruit smoothie is. Both offer the option of adding those
black tapioca bubbles that we’ve all grown to love as a
chaser to the fresh refreshing options such as Passion Fruit, Kiwi,
Plum, and Avocado.

It’s Milk. The bubble tea uses milk to
add creaminess to the shake whereas the fruit smoothies are derived
from a simple blend of in-house made simple syrup, fresh fruit, and ice
all blended together. But with such an interactive food menu,
the drinks & desserts menu must of course be equally if not
more interactive. Add enhancements like Grass Jelly or Lychee
to your drink to modify your own unique blend of flavors and textures.
Looking for a more traditional
dessert
that you can eat
instead of drink? You won’t find it here.
Shaved Ice is a popular dessert that the Asian population
utilizes during those unbearable summer heat waves. Simply
add shaved ice to your combination of tropical fruits such as Taro
Root, Peach, Longan, and sweet Red Beans. Top it off with
genuine Asian blends of simple syrups like Rose or Sweetened Condensed
Milk, and you’re guaranteed a fantastic upgrade of an
American snow cone.
So even if you’ve tried everything on the menu
twice at Wolfgang Pucks, it’s impossible to reproduce the
same result here at Mini Hot-Pot. You’re guaranteed
different flavors every single time. Whether you’re
bringing your children in hopes of jumpstarting their early MIT career
or catching up with old friends around an open flame, Mini Hot Pot is
the place to be. Because as long as you have an open
appetite, just sit back and let your imagination take your tongue and
tummy to new heights of flavors where the sky—truly is the
limit.
