The Roman god of indulgence, Bacchanalia is indeed one of the best places to eat in Atlanta and one of the city's most delightful pleasures. Using organic ingredients, many from the personal farm of chefs and co-owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, Bacchanalia combines freshness, flavor and earth-friendliness in its New American cuisine. Tops on the dinner menu would be the Georgia rainbow trout served with local sweet corn and chanterelle mushrooms although the wood-grilled Tybee Island shrimp (from the coastal island off Savannah) is a close second. The four-course menu consists of an appetizer, entree, cheese and dessert. A la carte items are also available at the bar. If you're going that route, choose the blue crab fritter appetizer served with Thai pepper essence, a favorite and considered by many to be the world's best.
