Fox Brothers BBQ is considered by many to be the best barbecue in Atlanta, the Fox brothers stuck to catering until several years ago, when they opened their restaurant. By that time, their weekly barbecue at another local eatery had attracted somewhat of a cult following. Expect to wait for a table on weekends, as the Fox Brothers' regular’s line up for pulled pork and beef ribs. The Southern-style barbecue menu also includes beef brisket, chicken and smoked wings. Fans of Brunswick stew can try the Tomminator for an appetizer: tater tots smothered in Brunswick stew and grated cheese. As for desserts, the banana pudding is a favorite.

At Killer Creek’s Chop House the stream running right outside offers an amazing back drop, while inside, it serves some of the city's best steak in an unbeatable atmosphere. A rustic, lodge-type atmosphere pervades the dining room with its mellow light, high ceilings and beautiful wooden beams. The steaks are generously proportioned and immaculately prepared. The duck is also good, along with great salads and appetizers, while desserts are pleasing to the eye and the palate. On weekend you may want to take advantage of the call ahead seating.

Spiced Right Barbecue is just northeast of town in Lilburn, this barbecue joint puts time and effort into every delicious bite. It wouldn't qualify as a barbecue restaurant if it were too fancy, but the dining room is nicer than many and a comfortable place to wolf down pork. Ribs, pulled beef and pork, and barbecue chicken are all on the menu, and their sauces are renowned. Knowing that the sauce makes the meal, their hot and mild have earned "Hotamightydamn!" ratings from Atlanta magazine.
